Results-based Monitoring and Evaluation
The aim of this course is to impart the technical and managerial competencies needed to monitor the performance and evaluate the efficiency, effectiveness, relevance and sustainability of development programs and projects. Participants will learn to use various management tools and techniques for effective project monitoring, control and reporting. They will also learn how to design, manage and conduct project evaluations. Participants will learn program and project management tools such as logical framework and defining and operationalizing program and project indicators (input, output, outcome and impact indicators).
*  Participants will understand the concept and how to develop and operationalize log frames, M&E plans, Theory of Change and evaluation techniques; *  Clarify key results at the program level using logic models; *  Plan a project using the logical framework *  Develop good indicators and set appropriate targets *   Establish a baseline to assess project’s outcome &/or impact *   Combine qualitative and quantitative approaches to gather data, analyze and interpret *  Able to use M&E findings to stimulate learning, make improvement and stakeholder buy-in.
